    Northug chooses Alpina

In preparation for the important World Championship season, Norwegian cross-country skier Petter Northug switches ski boots to Alpina. The cooperation with Alpina also means that Petter will use Rottefella bindings, through the close cooperation between Alpina and Rottefella.

“I contacted Alpina because they are passionate about ski boots. They work diligently and continuously to develop better products, which is something you notice when you have ski boots on your feet for up to 30 hours a week,” says Petter Northug.

Company Alpina is pleased and proud that one of the world's most profiled and successful skiers will be chasing gold medals on the traditional brand.

Northug and Alpina have worked together previously, resulting in a total of 11 World Championships and Olympic gold medals. Northug’s switch is part of his preparations for an important season, with the World Championships in Lahti in February 2017 as the highlight.

Many of the world's best skiers use Alpina boots. The manufacturer differs from other major suppliers in that they only focus on the development of ski boots.

In addition to Petter Northug, a number of top athletes, like Finn Haagen Krogh, Anders Gløersen, Niklas Dyrhaug, Eirik Brandsdal, Charlotte Kalla and Johan Olsson, compete on Alpina boots.
